Performance:
Hmm, what’s better the new
performance gain or the to die
for sound, hard to tell.
Testing the new Triumph 2005
Speed Triple on the Staintune
in-house Dyno, we managed a gain
of 9 Peak Horsepower over the
standard exhaust system, also a
huge gain in torque from bottom
to top. That is just with the
pipes and no engine
modifications beat that!!!
Customer feedback also reports a
huge gain in throttle response
and ride-ability with of course
snappy responsive mid range
torque. How do you keep that
front wheel down ?
Sound:
The Staintune system on the
Triple brings out that
distinctive 3-cylinder sound
this note absolutely turns heads
- legally. Remove the
restrictors on race day and work
out how to ride with your
fingers in your ears, or not it
sounds superb.
Finish:
Have a look for yourself; they
look magnificent on this Triumph
stable. The twin ovals are
slightly longer than standard
and bring out a little length to
the look of the Triple. The
somewhat ghastly looking cast
connector piece has been
replaced by a single polished
stainless pipe which connects
the two mufflers higher and
provides a more even gas flow.
They add volumes of style.
