This cable is an absolute requirement if you are trying to wire up a Garmin Zumo 660 to your Starcom1 intercom. The older MIC-01 cables will work OK with other GPS'es (for example, my Zumo 550) but not the 66X series. The older microphone cables leave the internal microphone in the Zumo active and that makes it pick up road and wind noise, making the Zumo's phone features unusable. The MIC-02 has a slightly different impedance to the Zumo, which will disable the internal microphone. In summary, if you have a Zumo 66X series GPS, get the MUS-04 and MIC-02 cables for full functionality with your Starcom unit |
