| Sena SMH5 Dual Pack (5/5) | May 10, 2012 | Phillip Brown | Daphne AL US | |

The experience with Spoiled Biker was excellent. Received the SMH5s in the afternoon and installed them in two helmets that night. My wife and I were able to test the units the next day on 1.5 hr ride in traffic from 25-60mph. Voice and volume were perfect. We are both in our late 60's and the Sena's are a great addition to our riding experience. |

| Got the dual pack. Very good for the price. I wear ear plugs when I ride and can still hear music clearly at seventy mph(no fairing and loud pipes). Although it does have to be turned all the way up. My wife and I went on a long ride and it was nice being able to communicate with her. She was loud and clear. I researched blue tooth headsets before buying these and I'm glad I chose Sena smh5. | ||||
| Not bad for the price, when they work. (3/5) | Jun 20, 2012 | Ian Hunt | Delray Beach FL US | |

As always, you get what you pay for. I bought these after watching the Spoiled Biker review, and am very pleased with the customer service I received from SB. When the dual units arrived, one of the wiring harnesses was DOA. It took a couple of days before Sena responded to my online ticket, I did an RMA, but they closed the ticket. I have no idea if they're sending me a new wiring harness or not. I installed the second unit in my helmet and have been using that. The speakers are HORRIBLE. Next time you're listening to your stereo, turn the bass off and crank the treble up and now you know how these sound. The controls are easy to use and while doing 75 on a drag pipe equipped Harley (full face helmet) people don't even realize I'm on a motorcycle during a phone call. I have no idea how well the intercom works since I only have one working set. The bottom line is this: If you don't mind spending the money for the better speaker set (which isn't available right now, and I'm still not certain it will fix it), and if you anticipate a bit of poor quality control, it's actually a pretty good setup for the price. If you can swing it, you'd likely to better with the 10s instead of the 5s. |

| Just OK (3/5) | Jul 2, 2012 | gary r | nj US | |
| Set up is easy. Linking to Blue tooth is easy. The sound is fine, not great, but not bad. The button is a a bit touchy. Its way to easy to turn and push which causes the unit to do things you didnt intend to do when you touch it. They should come up with a better way to mount the headphone. As it is they rely on a very tiny piece of velcro on the back of the headphone. They expect that to stick to the fabric in your helmet. The problem is, if the headphones are not aligned exactly with your ears, the sound is terrible. Very low volume, very tinty sound. So the key to having a good sound is---a good headphone mount. Over all the product works as described. | ||||
| Sena SMH5 Dual Review (5/5) | Apr 9, 2012 | Curt Carter | Garden Ridge TX US | |

I am very pleased wit this product and would highly recommend it to anyone needing a to communicate with a passenger. The Sena SMH5 was impressive right out of the box and the dual package comes with everything you need for two people. It took a little work to attach the units to our Harley-Davidson Modular Helmets due to the wind skirting attached to the bottom of the helmet. Basically, on these helmets you cannot use the metal clamp as an attachment device. Our helmets were set-up for bluetooth, but not the Sena SMH5. I was able to trim the adhesive mount so that it fit in the helmet's bluetooth recess without much problem. Unfortunately, the helmet recess wasn't a uniform depth so the mounts did not adhere properly. To remedy this, I purchased some outdoor 3M double sided tape and built up two and a half layers of tape to use as a base. With this setup, the adhesive mounts held properly and have shown no signs of becoming loose at highway speeds. The Sena SMH5 has performed flawlessly. Both music volume and intercom volume are more than sufficient at highway speeds of 70 mph and I was pleasntly suprised with the sound quality of the music and the intecom. The unit is easy to pair with a smartphone (HTC Hero and HTC EVO) and switching between intercom and music is very easy. The Sena SMH5 will definitely make our rides more enjoyable...and safer too. No more hand signals or trying to yell above the road noise. Overall, I give the Sena SMH5 a 5-star rating. I think this is a technically superior product at a very reasonable price point. I would also give Spoiled Biker 5-stars for making the purchase easy and for super fast delivery. |

My experience with Spoiled Biker was very positive and I would highly recommend them. I ordered the Sena SMH5 Dual Pack and it was promptly shipped...super fast. I installed the SMH5 on two Harley-Davidson Modular Helmets. Based on the helmet design, I could not use the primary clamping device so I modified the adhesive mount to fit in the bluetooth recess on the helmet. This seemed to work well. My wife and I tested the units on a short ride. We were both very pleased with the intercom sound quality as well as the ease of switching from intercom to phone to music via our smartphones. These will be great units for us and will make my wife a much happier pillion passenger. My only complaint is that I will need to find a better adhesive to mount the units. While riding at about 55mph, my wife's unit seperated from the helmet and mine was very loose. Overall, the these are great units and I am very happy with my purchase...I would definitely recommend them. I'm only giving them 4 stars due to the mounting issues I experienced...from a technical perspective they earn 5 stars. If I were able to use the clamp mount I'm sure I would have had no problems. My Spoiled Biker experience is rated 5 stars! Thank you Spoiled Biker for providing a great product at a great price...keep up the good work. ~Curt |
